BLANCHE GUERNSEY

BLANCHE GUERNSEY

We stumbled across Blanche Guernsey at a Denver art festival just a couple weeks before we planned to launch ARTSTINKS™. At the time, we already had our debut lineup locked in and ready to send to print. But then we saw her paintings and knew we had to make room for one more artist.

We love Blanche's work for obvious reasons: her paintings are beautiful, nostalgic, whimsical, fun, and moody all at once. We spent all week talking about them and trying to decide which pieces we'd choose if she said yes. (If you take a look at her website, you'll understand why we had such a hard time narrowing it down.)

To our delight, Blanche signed on just days before our soft opening. Of our opening lineup, she is the only non-Colorado artist. But she's based in Wyoming and hell, that's close enough.

Blanche is a self-taught artist, and considers her artwork to be a voice that reflects her experiences and surroundings. "Family, traditions, and that sense of belonging are depicted throughout her work as she uses bold brushstrokes in oils to create paintings of everyday objects that inspire a universal feeling of nostalgia."

We hope you enjoy her stuff as much as we do. Go check it out!
